Philadelphia 76ers Training Facility | Rooftop Terrace Concept

The Philadelphia 76ers Training Complex is a 125,000-square-foot athletic facility and office building in Camden, New Jersey, which houses the training center and corporate offices of the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association.
We worked with Connor Construction to come up with a design build concept for a rooftop terrace at the 76ers Training Facility in Camden, NJ.
The +/- 2,000 SF area accommodates lounge seating, high-top tables and a bar for about 50-90 people. The idea was to create some type of permanent awning or covering so the area could be used in all weather conditions and be able to withstand 60 mph winds.
We explored (2) design concepts, one with a metal structure and a series of nano-walls to allow for the area to be opened or fully closed, and the other with a fabric canopy that could retract.
