Description
Churchill Downs Incorporated renovated their existing office space on the 3rd floor which included their entire Information Technology department.
CDI relocated their existing Mountain View California based Twin Spires company to this, Louisville, Kentucky, Headquarters location. The program of spaces consist of heavy IT personnel. The interior spaces were requested to be state-of-the-art with technology incorporated into the space’s architecture, flexible office and team meeting spaces, food & beverage breakrooms and fitness spaces that complimented a Tech ‘Rich’ and Tech ‘Friendly’ environment.
R2A designed a monumental stair that cut through the existing building’s structure in the middle of the footprint connecting floors 3 and 4. This monumental stair facilitated the integration of the company that now spread over two large floor plates and the new stair improved the connection between the divisions.
