Camden, New Jersey
Description
20 years ago, Principal, John P. Ruiz, help the House design the 26,000 sf 4 story ground-up brick and steel mid-rise building that resides on the Cooper University Health (CUH) campus in Camden , New Jersey. The RMHSNJ is a home away from home for children seeking specialized medical care where their family can stay with them during their stay while seeking medical treatment.
Over the past 20 years the house has grown to about 35,000 sf. The house boasts a roster of patient guests that come from all over the world to seek care at CUH. The house shelters and feeds about 100 meals per day 7 days a week. The house is designed as a warm inviting home that is durable and functional.
In tandem with the Houses 35th anniversary of its founding, R2Architects and its MBE Certified affiliated R2Interiors LLC was retained to design the renovations featuring:
- $1M
- Public areas
- 20,000 sf
- New furnishings
- Better space and flow
