Rowan University | School of Veterinary Medicine Concept
Glassboro, NJ
Description
We designed a concept for the Rowan School of Veterinary Medicine which was a 135,000 sf complex that included an academic building, veterinary hospital, and 50,000 sf of research space. The school will be serving approximately 400 students of all levels by its fifth year of operation who have access to large auditoriums, break out study rooms, pre-clinical laboratories and surgical facilities, and state of the-art-technologies for learning and teaching.
Rowan proposed a hybrid model of education, research and veterinary care by building and operating a teaching and clinical facility to deliver core experiential learning to its students while at the same time providing the public with veterinary services. A focus of the Rowan program will be the development of career-ready veterinary graduates who are prepared for entry into clinical practice when they complete their training. The Rowan University School of Veterinary Medicine building complex will be located on the north side of Rowan’s West Campus.
