Description
Shore Medical Center (SMC), is a full-service acute care community hospital located in Somers Point, New Jersey. They provide health services for Cancer, Spine & Orthopedic, Emergency, Maternity, Pediatrics and Neurology.
SMC opened a +/- 6,800 SF Pediatric Hybrid Unit, the first-of-its-kind in the State of New Jersey. Our scope included the Planning, Programming, Regulatory Approval Assistance (NJDOH and NJDCA Healthcare Plan Review), Design, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration Services.
The unit’s program consisted of a Pediatric Emergency Department with:
- Five (5) Patient Bays
- Pediatric In-Patient area with up to Seven (7) Patient Beds in Five (5)Patient Rooms.
- Private and Semi – Private room configurations were accomplished within the same footprint.
- A large full function multi-display video wall was fitted in the playroom with a state-of-the-art sound system.
