Description
Terre Haute Casino Resort is a ground-up casino hotel that features 1,000 slot machines, 50 game tables, 10-story luxury hotel, multiple restaurants and bars, pool, rooftop bar and lounge, and TwinSpires sportsbook.
In Q3 2021, R2A provide Architectural, Interior Design, Master Planning and Site/Civil services for the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) for the Vigo County Casino License submission. In Q4 2021, the IGC awarded the license to Churchill Downs Inc.
There were (4) potential site locations for the new ground up hotel casino facility. We master planned each site locating the main facility storm management system, vehicular and pedestrian flow and vehicular parking. The master planning included the preparation of pros and cons for each site as well as land use approval timetables. Additional due diligence was required at site(s) selected by the client which included: Geotechnical Reports, Phase I Environmental Reports, Site Utility Review, Electric, Gas, Water, Sanitary, Storm, Cable / Data, Traffic Study, Land Use Review (Local / State), Zoning, Permitting, Developed Site Plan.
The master planning of optional sites was completed in +/- 75 days. We assisted our client in the land acquisition endeavor of the selected site.
